OUR MODEL OF THE MONTH FOR FEBRUARY IS MS. LYDIA WONDWOSSEN, A CURRENT MS. DMV
Since being crowned Ms. DMV, Lydia's modeling career has skyrocketed. She has embellished the cover of magazines, modeled D.C. Statehood Tee Shirts and represented Kapture in the Virgin Islands. She has also emerged as one of the most sought after make-up and hair stylists in the DMV. Her formal name is Lidiya Tegegn, and she is a 24-year-old, once aspiring model, who has arrived. Originally from Ethiopia, born and raised in the capital, Addis Ababa, the city that made her the woman that she is today. Family means everything to Lydia. It’s been 4 years since she moved to the states and not a day goes by without missing her Family.
Lydia's hobbies are cooking, Ethiopian food, listening to music, acting and singing. She is, at times, a bit shy but she does enjoy networking and meeting new people. Sharing experiences with people she meets provides a great source of joy for Lydia. She is passionate about modeling and has been since the age of 5. She proclaims, "I am living my dream". She has modeled professionally since the age of 17, and now has more than seven years of valuable experience under her belt. Lydia is focused on continuing her modeling career in America. Determined to be an international model, her goal is to put a positive spotlight on Ethiopia and inspire young girls across the world, assuring them that dreams do come true, if they stay true to themselves and put in the effort for any craft they seek to master.
