THE LIVE MUSIC AND COVID APPAREL FASHION SHOW AT 5:30 P.M., THE LAST OF FREEDOM PLAZA ACTIVITIES, IS FREE TO ALL.
Following the Freedom Plaza activities, we ask that you join us, beginning at 7:30 p.m., to walk around the Capitol, on the public sidewalks, social distancing at least six feet, wearing masks. Glow Lights can be retrieved during the activities at Freedom Plaza or in front of the United States Supreme Court, beginning at 7:30 p.m. At EXACTLY 8:30 p.m., we will halt our Circle and sing the FREEDOM SONG. Lyrics will be distributed.
Republican Senator, Lisa Murkowski, who represents Alaska, a former territory that was granted statehood in 1959, has said:
"I'm probably one of the few that was actually born in a territory and in my lifetime we fought for statehood, it was something driven by the residents and whether we are talking D.C. or Puerto Rico, as long as it is driven by residents I'd pay attention."
