During CBC Week-End – The D.C. Statehood Teach-In and Concert Series Continues, Surprise Guest Artist to be Featured

For the past eight years, artists and activists have gathered in Washington, D.C. to promote the effort to make the residential and commercial parts of Washington, D.C. the 51st State. This year, we plan to take that program on the road, with plans to cover many states in the fall of 2014 and the spring and summer of 2015.
This Event, a continuation of our D.C. Statehood Teach-In and Concert Series --- with the brilliant artists we have assembled --- will serve as a Prelude to our Tour. In the past, we have featured such Artists as Chuck Brown, Ayanna Gergory, Wayna, Uptown XO and others. We will again feature top, live entertainment, including a Fashion Experience. This year our Featured Entertainment is Leonard, Coleman and Blunt, former Lead Singers of the Temptations, Platters and Drifters, who will sing the official and original "D.C. Statehood Song."
